Getting Started With Kamailio

If you’re a first timer using Kamailio or even pretty familiar with it, this session can help you to make the first steps of deploying a SIP proxy in the proper way. Daniel, the lead developer and co-founder of Kamailio presents where you can look for resources to start using Kamailio, the main characteristics of its internal architecture and the foundation of it SIP routing scripting language. A part of the training focuses on how Kamailio can be used with FreeSwitch to enrich your telephony system to meet better various requirements, from vertical to horizontal scalability, security or even building new features. Short demos may be shown to give a better feeling of what Kamailio can do.

About the instructor: Daniel Constantin-Mierla
He co-founded Kamailio in June 2005, aiming to build a solid SIP server project where openness to community and contributions has an important role, previously being core developer of SIP Express Router (SER) from its early beginning in 2002. He has a Master degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Polytechnics University of Bucharest. His experience was accumulated working as consultant for Orange Romania, branch of French Orange mobile operator, and researcher in network communications at Fraunhofer Fokus Institute, Berlin, Germany.
