What is ClueCon?

ClueCon is a conference for developers, by developers. An annual technology conference hosted by the team behind the FreeSWITCH open source project. Our primary focus is to gather various open source projects related to voice over IP, open source software and hardware, Telecommunications, WebRTC, and IoT. We sit at the intersection of communication and technology and we love all things technical. Open source projects that have been represented over the years include FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, Asterisk, OpenSIPS, FusionPBX, Janus, HOMER, and many more!

How did ClueCon start?

ClueCon was founded over a decade ago in 2005 by an aspiring team of Asterisk software developers who wanted to push the envelope, and set out to gather all of the open source projects into one place. They shared their wisdom and made open source communication a disruptive force in the industry. By the second year, that same team of developers, inspired by the first ClueCon, created a brand new open source communication application known today as FreeSWITCH. Every year the core members of the FreeSWITCH team still produce and oversee the conference with the original goal in mind: to blend a diverse collection of open source projects, speakers, and technology presentations that continue to inspire the way forward.

What Can I expect at ClueCon?

ClueCon offers something for everyone, from a software developer playing with new ideas to the CEO of a technology company looking to take advantage of real-time communication. We begin the week with the Coder Games, devoted to coding and building technology. The following three days are packed with presentations by technology leaders from around the world covering all aspects of WebRTC, IoT, and Telephony.  The motto of ClueCon is “a conference for developers by developers.” We take that to heart, making sure we have a comfortable setting and lots of opportunities for networking and sharing ideas. ClueCon is like no other conference, so come join us this year and become part of the ClueCon family!

    ClueCon (“CC”) is committed to a hosting a welcoming and inclusive event for all sponsors, speakers, attendees, media, exhibitors, and other participants (“Participants”)

Participants must:

  • Be considerate and respectful to other Participants and venue staff;
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior, materials, and speech;
  • Alert a CC representative or venue staff member of any dangerous situation or person in distress; and
  • Observe and comply with all federal, state, and local laws and all conference and venue rules and regulations.

Participants may not:

  • Use lewd or offensive language (verbal, written, or otherwise), especially that which is related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability;
  • Use nudity and/or sexual content in public places (including presentation materials);
  • Disrupt or disturb presentations or other events;
  • Engage in inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, or stalking; or
  • Threaten, intimidate, or otherwise retaliate against anyone who may make or has made a complaint about a Participant’s conduct.

Any Participant asked to stop unacceptable behavior must comply immediately.  CC reserves the right to take any action it deems appropriate to address allegations of a Participant’s unacceptable behavior, including, but not limited to, removing the Participant from the conference without warning or refund.

A Participant should report any alleged violation of this Code of Conduct to a CC representative or venue staff member.

CC may use, in any manner it wishes (including as promotional material), any photograph/video taken at any event it sponsors without the express written consent of those included in the photograph/video.  By participating in a CC event, Participants agree to release, defend, hold harmless, and indemnify CC from any and all claims involving the use of their pictures or likenesses.  Any Participant that does not wish to have its image recorded for distribution must contact CC at info@cluecon.com and include a photograph of themselves.
