Learn how to build voice AI agents directly within a real-time telecom environment. This hands-on workshop, led by Brian West, introduces the SignalWire Agents SDK and teaches you how to create programmable AI agents using Python. You will work with embedded media control, design dynamic prompts, and integrate external APIs, all running inside SignalWire's ultra-low-latency telecom stack with response times under 500 milliseconds.

This workshop, led by Senior Escalation Engineer Shane Harell, shows you how to build voice agents that can handle PCI-sensitive tasks like payment collection while keeping credit card data completely isolated from the AI model. Using Python and the SignalWire Agent SDK, you’ll see how real-time control and embedded tools make secure, intelligent payment agents possible.

In this hands-on session, you’ll use the SignalWire Agents SDK to collect user input over the phone, process it with AI, and trigger physical events on an Arduino like toggling LEDs, motors, or sensors.
